Dr. Du’s Successful Presentation at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine
Dr. Du was invited by the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) to give a series of lectures at the Teacher’s Training Program at BUCM from May 22nd to May 25th, 2017. This program has been organized by BUCM and the Teacher’s Training Center of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China . Three years in a row, Dr. Du has been presenting and sharing his English teaching experience of Acupuncture and TCM with the trainees at this program.
The topics presented by Dr. Du this year are the following:
1. Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Legislation and Regulation in Canada
2. Traditional Chinese Medicine Education: How to teach acupuncture in Canada?
This program is aimed to improve the teachers’ ability to educate international students of Chinese medicine and acupuncture from all aspects. 35 trainees from 20 universities of Chinese medicine in China attended the program this year. Most of the trainees are the first-line teachers from the universities of Chinese medicine in China. Dr. Du has been very welcomed by the trainees from 20 universities in China. The trainees are very impressed by the updated information regarding to TCM legislation and regulation in Canada presented by Dr. Du. as well as acupuncture teaching methods applied in Canada by Dr. Du.

Prof. Cheng’s 2016 Acupuncture Workshop Finished Successfully!
Aug 6-7, 2016, Prof. Kai Cheng came from China to run a weekend workshop introducing special Cheng’s needling technique and explanation of acupoints. The whole weekend was filled with lots of practical acupuncture experience and demonstrations.
They also brought the new Chinese version of CAM book, and some certified Bianshi scraping boards for the attendees.

2016 Graduation Ceremony

2016 China Internship Trip
April – May 2016, our fourth year students go to China for internship in Beijing.
Passing Rate of the 2015 Pan-Canadian Exam
We are excited to release the passing rate of our school for the Pan-Canadian Exam in Oct 17, 2015. As always, our aim for excellence has achieved higher than expected average this year.
For Pan Canadian Written Exam for TCM Acupuncturists, 81% of our students passed while the Alberta’s average of passing is 67%.
For CAAA Modalities Clinical Evaluation, 84% of our students passed while the Alberta’s average of passing is 71%.
With regard to the CAAA Online Safety Exam, 100% of our students passed. At the same time, the passing rate of CAAA Acupuncture Points Clinical Evaluation is significantly higher than the Alberta average.
Congratulations to all our students and thank you very much for the hard work and excellent job of all our Faculty members.
