Course Description

This course is a synthesis of Western Herbology, Chinese Herbology and Western Pharmacology.  Herb – drug interactions are also a main focus of the studies.
Course Objectives
After the completion of the course, the students should be able to demonstrate basic understanding of Western Botanical Pharmacology relevant to TCM.

They should be able to synthesize the knowledge of Western Botanical Pharmacology, Chinese Herbs and Western Pharmacology.

Emphasis is also placed on skilful communication (verbal and written) with the practitioners of other health professions (medical doctors, chiropractors, nurses, etc.).
