Dr. Allison began her journey into Eastern and Western medicine over 20 years ago through her own personal recovery. The fascination with the human body, the mind and spirit led her to explore further and complete the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at CCTCMA in 2009. She now has a thriving practice where she specializes in sports acupuncture, shonishin (pediatric acupuncture), pregnancy/post-partum, Acutonics, stress and women’s health. Prior to studying Chinese Medicine, Dr. Allison studied Massage Therapy and received a 2,200 hr Diploma in 2001. The combination of acupuncture and massage in practice allows her to bring ancient wisdom to the modern environment. With 20 years of lecturing experience at several massage schools she continues to expand her knowledge base and keep abreast of advances in this field. Dr. Allison believes that maintaining one’s health should encompass a holistic approach, her personal philosophy is reflected in her gentle treatment style. Being mindful of your body to achieve harmony and wellbeing. Away from work, Allison loves to be in nature, out of the city whenever she has a chance, canoeing, exploring, cuddling with her kitties and reading in a hammock.
