Dr. Huang has been practicing acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine in Calgary for over 15 years. She treats a multitude of patients with varying diseases, severity, and urgency. Her therapeutic techniques include relieving patients of migraines, headaches, whiplash, lower back, hip pain, shoulder, arm, wrist, knee, ankle injuries, digestive concerns, and stress relief, Gynecology and pediatrics care are also strong fields of Dr. Ellen Huang’s practice. Dr. Huang also treats muscle strains and restricted movements, in addition to pain and discomfort relief for patients receiving other alternative care. Throughout her training in China, Dr. Huang completed her internship in five leading hospitals, including Dongzhimen Hospital, Yangjing Hospital, Sino-Japan Friendship Hospital, and Beijing Army Research Hospital. Dr. Huang interned with highly regarded TCM doctors in the acupuncture industry and participated in Zhong Guo Zhong Yi Ke Xue Research Institute, China’s most prestigious TCM research institute. Dr. Huang continued and completed her education when she came to Canada and pursued a Certificate of Clinical Practice in Chinese Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from the World Health Organization Acupuncture Training Center in Beijing, China. She received certification in 2006 and obtained a Certificate of Clinical Acupuncture and Massage Therapy from the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology. On top of her acupuncture professional training, Dr. Huang is skilled with facia remodeling, lymph drainage, cranial-sacral therapy, and visceral manipulation. Huang continuing her education career teaching at TCM and acupuncture institutes along with her clinical practice. With her professional experience and therapeutic techniques, Dr. Huang ensures each treatment she provides fulfills her patients with positive and refreshed energy.
