Changes to the International Student Program regulations have taken effect June 1, 2014. It is important that you read and understand the information Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has released regarding these changes. These changes will specifically impact applying for a Study Permit, studying in Canada, and working off campus during your studies. Please contact an international student advisor if you have any questions.

China connection to build bridge to better health in Australia
The Memorandum of Understanding is between world-leading Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) and the University of Western Sydney (UWS), which is the home of the National Institute of Complementary Medicine (NICM). The Memorandum was signed in Canberra in the presence of President of People’s Republic of China, President Xi Jinping and the Prime Minister Tony Abbott. Dr. Du has been elected as one of the executive members of Committee of International Communication of Chinese Medicine, WFCMS
In Beijing, Sept 23, 2014, Dr. Frank Du was elected as one of executive members of Committee of International Communication of Chinese Medicine, World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS). Dr. Du was the only representative from Canada and did a great presentation on the Legislation and Regulation of Chinese Medicine in Canada. The presentation was very appreciated by the Symposium of International Communication of Chinese Medicine, WFCMS. At the same Symposium, Dr. Du was also elected as one of executive members of the Testing and Assessment Committee (TAC), WFCMS.

School will start again on Sept 2nd, 2014 (Tuesday) at 9am. The program schedule and notice will be sent to our current students via email. If you need to pick up study guide and pay your tuition fee, you are welcome to come to school on Aug 28 or Aug 29 during business hours.
New student orientation days 2014
The new student orientation days are on Aug 28 & 29, 2014. School will be open from 9am – 5pm on these two days. All new registered students are welcome to pick up schedule and to buy study guide during business hours.
Notice for clinic renovation
Our clinic will be closed during renovation from Aug 13 to Aug 18, 2014. Clinic will be closed at 5pm on Aug 12 (Tuesday). There won’t be clinic practice on Aug 14, 2014 (Thursday). And the clinic will be reopen from Aug 19, 2014 (Tuesday).

2014 Registration Examination for Acupuncturist in Alberta
2014 Registration Examination for Acupuncturist in Alberta is open for application. CAAA (College & Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta) decided to adopt the Pan-Canadian Examination for TCM Acupuncturists as part of the registration requirements in Alberta. In addition, applicants must successfully complete the Safety Examination administered by the CAAA to be eligible for registration as acupuncturist in Alberta. The written exam will be on Oct 18, 2014 in Edmonton. The current process time for registration is about 2-4 weeks. All of our students who had successfully complete the 3 year acupuncture diploma program are eligible to challenge the registration exam.
