Training in NADA’S community style acupuncture is intended to support current mobile clinics and ongoing programs for the Calgary and surrounding areas dealing with flood relief. It is also an adjunct to a variety of programming aimed at health and wellness.
NADA’S Acu-detox training begins with a five point ear acupuncture protocol and evolves into an exploration of the emotional and spiritual aspects of mental health as well as treatment strategies that incorporate these concepts. This is a course intended for acupuncturists or non acupuncturist professionals working in the area of addictions, mental health, pain management or crisis response,
NADA, National Acupuncture Detoxification Association has been established since l985.
It is a non-profit organization that provides training, consultation and certification internationally.
ADS training is provided by registered trainers of the National Acupuncture Detox Association (NADA).
Acu-detox is a useful therapeutic intervention in easing or eliminating many withdrawal symptoms and is excellent in relapse prevention and dealing with stress, anxiety and post trauma.

This NADA course consists of the required didactic portion, introduces the practicum portion, and will provide information on disaster response, accompanying trauma, and YARP clinical support. It is intended to encourage practitioners to provide NADA protocols to individuals and first responders dealing with or affected by the flood in Calgary and surrounding areas.
It will consist of lecture, videos, power point, practical experience, panel discussion, guest speakers.
Full certification in NADA is 70 hours. The 40 hour practicum portion will be addressed in the course.
