Course Description

This course introduces students with TCM internal medicine with a focus on etiology and pathogenesis, clinical manifestation, diagnosis, principle of treatment, and formulas  of internal diseases. Detailed discussion of the diseases caused by external pathogen, disease of the lung systems, the heart systems and the spleen and the stomach system will be covered.

Course Objective

Upon completion of this course, you shall be able to:

• Demonstrate understanding of etiology, pathogenesis, and principle of treatments of internal disease in general, and
• Demonstrate knowledge of skills pertaining to the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, principle of treatment, and treatment formulas of diseases due to the external pathogens, diseases of the lung systems, the heart system, and the spleen and stomach system.
