Course Description

This course provides students with knowledge of fundamental theory and ideas behind the psychological branch of TCM, including the theory of the 7 emotions and the 5 wills.  The course also encompasses the allopathic designations of psychological disorders of clusters A, B, and C as well as a therapeutic approach to dealing with certain emotional imbalances through TCM

Course Objective

Upon completion of this course, you shall be able to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of the basic doctrines of  psychology in TCM,
• Demonstrate an ability to differentiate between different syndromes in TCM psychological diseases.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the essential theories of TCM, including the 7 emotions and the 5 wills.
• Demonstrate knowledge of some western psychological illnesses.
